What We Do

The purposes for which the Society is established are all or any of the followings. All the objectives mentioned hereunder will be implemented after obtaining necessary permission from the government/concerned authority or competent authority and the objects contrary to the provision of section 20 of the Societies Registration Act-1860 shall be treated as ineffective.

Core Activities:

• To enhance professional skills of Government Officials in the field of economic and public financial management through continuous training and education;
• To undertake research on current important economic and financial issues;
• To provide policy advice to the government;
• To promote and undertake trainers development programmes to assure an adequate number of competent trainers in the field of economic and financial management in Bangladesh;
• To disseminate research findings and facilitate sharing of updated knowledge through publication of journals, reports, pamphlets, research papers, books and other literature and conducting seminar, symposium, workshop, etc
• To institute and award honorary fellowships, scholarships, prizes and medals in accordance with relevant rules and regulations of the Society;
• To maintain close contact with other institutions having similar objectives, either wholly or partially, by way of payment of subscription, enrolment as a member thereof, financial or other sorts of assistance, amalgamation, collaborations, co-operation and in any other way as the Society may deem necessary;
